Phyno Warns Fans to Stop Comparing Him with Olamide

Indigenous rapper Chibuzor Azubike Nelson, popularly known as Phyno, has expressed frustration with fans who frequently compare him to his colleague and longtime collaborator, Olamide. The comparison has been a recurring topic over the years, with Phyno often being measured against Olamide, particularly because the former predominantly raps in Igbo and the latter in Yoruba.

The latest comparison was sparked by an X user, @TheDamiForeign, who reignited the debate on Friday with a post asking, “When it comes to rap, who’s the GOAT? Phyno versus Olamide.”

In response, a visibly irritated Phyno took to social media to shut down the conversation, stating: “Yo!!! Tf is wrong with u guys for God sake.. stop putting me up against my brother or anybody else for that matter. Do your banter with someone else.. na ala adi agba unu.. wtf.”

Phyno’s firm reaction underscores his desire for fans to refrain from pitting him against Olamide or any other rapper, emphasizing that these comparisons are unwelcome.
