Pharrell Williams Criticizes Celebrity Political Endorsements Ahead of U.S. Election

Hip-hop producer Pharrell Williams has voiced his frustration with American celebrities who publicly endorse political candidates ahead of the upcoming presidential election. In an interview with *The Hollywood Reporter*, Williams expressed his apolitical stance and criticized his colleagues for pushing political views on the public.

“I don’t do politics. In fact, I get annoyed sometimes when I see celebrities trying to tell you [who to vote for],” he remarked.

Williams further elaborated that many celebrity endorsements were unsolicited and unnecessary. “There are celebrities that I respect that have an opinion, but not all of them. I’m one of them people [who says], ‘What the heck? Shut up. Nobody asked you,’” he added.

His comments come amidst a wave of political endorsements from high-profile figures, including Taylor Swift, Megan Thee Stallion, and Billie Eilish, who have thrown their support behind Vice President Kamala Harris. On the other side, former President Donald Trump has garnered endorsements from figures such as Elon Musk and Blac Chyna.
