Petition Filed Against Late Singer Mohbad’s Widow Raises Questions

Owodunni Ibrahim, also known as Primeboy and a childhood friend of the late singer Ileriouluwa Aloba, popularly called Mohbad, has lodged a petition against Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi, alleging false accusations and threats to his life.

The petition, filed before the police, has drawn public attention to concerns regarding the paternity of Mohbad’s son, Liam, and the circumstances surrounding the singer’s untimely demise at the age of 27. Mohbad, a signee under Marlian Records owned by Afeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, passed away under mysterious circumstances, leading to arrests and interrogations of individuals associated with him, including Naira Marley and Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, aka Sam Larry.

Primeboy, who was previously declared wanted by the Lagos State Police Command, has turned himself in and visited the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) with Ayobami Fisayo, aka Spending, on multiple occasions.

The recent petition, addressed to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 2 Command, Onikan, Lagos, accuses Wunmi of using the State CID to intimidate and coerce false confessions from Primeboy regarding Mohbad’s death.

In a statement on his Instagram account, Primeboy challenged Wunmi to reveal the truth about her late husband’s death, emphasizing his determination to seek justice. The petition, filed by Alexime Law Associates on behalf of Primeboy, also implicates Inspector Muhammed of the State CID Panti for alleged official high-handedness and abuse of police powers.

However, Mohbad’s family has reportedly disputed the petition, raising further questions about the complex circumstances surrounding the singer’s passing.
