Paris St-Germain Stages Late Comeback but Misses Chance to Secure Ligue 1 Title

Paris St-Germain (PSG) endured a rollercoaster encounter against Le Havre, staging a dramatic late comeback to secure a draw but missing the opportunity to clinch the Ligue 1 title.

Needing a victory to seal the championship, PSG found themselves trailing 3-1 midway through the second half. Christopher Operi opened the scoring for Le Havre before Bradley Barcola leveled the score for the hosts. Andre Ayew and Abdoulaye Toure then put Le Havre ahead, leaving PSG facing an uphill battle.

However, PSG refused to concede defeat, with Achraf Hakimi igniting hope with a goal in the 78th minute. The tension mounted as the clock ticked towards full time, and Goncalo Ramos delivered a crucial stoppage-time equalizer, salvaging a point for PSG.

Despite the draw, PSG remains 12 points clear at the top of the Ligue 1 table, with second-placed Monaco trailing behind. While the title remains within reach for PSG, they must wait until May 12 at the earliest to celebrate a third consecutive championship with their fans.

The match also saw Kylian Mbappe make a second-half appearance, replacing Ousmane Dembele. However, the star forward struggled to make a significant impact as PSG fought to salvage their title hopes.
