Outrage Over Alleged Child Abuse Cases in Delta State and Imo State

In Delta State, a woman named Gift Azubuike has been apprehended and is currently in custody at the Kwale Divisional Police Headquarters for alleged mistreatment of a child under her care. Reports indicate that Azubuike subjected the child to daily abuse, as confirmed by testimonies from neighbours. Human rights advocate Harrison Gwamnishu disclosed the arrest and urged authorities to transfer the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Asaba.

In Imo State, an incident involving a man inflicting burns on his maid for riding children’s bicycle has sparked outrage among online users. Many expressed shock and disgust at the incident, with some condemning the act as evidence of physical evil. Despite calls for further details, Gwamnishu, the human rights advocate, has yet to respond.
