Okpebholo Pledges to Follow Oshiomhole’s Legacy, Assures Security

The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Edo State, Okpebholo, has vowed to remain popular with the people and emulate the former governor, Adams Oshiomhole. During his ward-to-ward campaign in Etsako East Local Government Area, Okpebholo stressed that working for the people would ensure he stays connected with them, just as Oshiomhole did.

Speaking in Okpella, Okpebholo urged voters to reject the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Asue Ighodalo, and emphasized his commitment to improving security and education. He promised to employ 5,000 teachers within his first 100 days in office and ensure adequate healthcare in all wards. He also reassured the people of their safety, condemning a recent attack on his campaign team by suspected thugs.

Oshiomhole, in his address, accused the current administration under Governor Obaseki of deceiving the people and highlighted his role in bringing major cement factories to Okpella, which has become a major cement production hub in Nigeria.
