NPA to Facilitate Sale of Crude Oil and Refined Products in Naira to Dangote Refinery

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), in collaboration with other government agencies, has announced plans to implement the sale of crude oil and refined products in Naira for supply to Dangote’s Refinery. This move, directed by the Federal Government, aims to streamline service provision and enhance efficiency in the petroleum sector.

Speaking at a meeting held at the NPA Headquarters in Lagos, the Managing Director, Dr. Abdulkadir Dantsoho, confirmed that the NPA has commenced the coordination of services across regulatory, security, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth execution of the initiative. He emphasized the establishment of a One-Stop Shop that will oversee and facilitate all necessary service provisions from relevant agencies, ensuring the effective implementation of the policy.

“We are poised to collaborate and provide the efficiencies necessary to deliver on this national imperative of ensuring the availability of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and other petroleum products,” said Dantsoho.

The NPA’s role in this initiative includes ensuring the timely and seamless distribution of petroleum products across the country, working in close partnership with all involved agencies to achieve the objectives of the policy.
