Novak Djokovic Withdraws from Miami Open Following Indian Wells Exit

Novak Djokovic, the world number one in tennis, has decided to withdraw from the upcoming ATP-WTA Miami Open following his unexpected early exit at Indian Wells. The Serbian star, aged 36, cited scheduling reasons for his decision.

In a statement posted on social media, Djokovic expressed regret at missing the Miami Open, acknowledging the passionate fanbase there. He explained that, at this stage of his career, he needs to balance his private and professional commitments. However, he expressed hope to compete in Miami in the future.

Djokovic’s departure from Indian Wells came as a surprise when he was defeated in the third round by Italian player Luca Nardi, who is ranked lower. Despite his loss, Djokovic initially indicated his intention to participate in the Miami Open.

The statement issued by Djokovic did not specify his plans for future tournaments or where he expects to compete next.
