Nottingham Forest in Advanced Talks with Arsenal Over £30m Deal for Eddie Nketiah

Nottingham Forest are reportedly in advanced negotiations with Arsenal over a potential £30 million transfer for striker Eddie Nketiah. The 25-year-old forward appears to be edging closer to a move away from the Emirates Stadium, where he has spent the entirety of his career, aside from a loan spell at Leeds United during the 2019-20 season.

While no agreement has been finalized, Forest have identified Nketiah as a key target as they look to bolster their attacking options. The club is also considering other striker options, including Santiago Gimenez from Feyenoord, but discussions with Arsenal for Nketiah have progressed significantly.

Nketiah, who made his Premier League debut in 2018, has scored 38 goals in 168 appearances for Arsenal but has struggled to secure a regular starting role, with just 38 league starts to his name. He was an unused substitute in Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Wolves on the opening day of the Premier League season.

In addition to the Nketiah pursuit, Forest are also nearing a loan deal for Aston Villa left-back Alex Moreno. The 31-year-old is currently behind new signing Ian Maatsen and Lucas Digne in the pecking order at Villa Park and is expected to be allowed to leave on a temporary basis.
