The Nigeria women’s national basketball team, D’Tigress, achieved a significant milestone on Friday by securing qualification for the women’s basketball event at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

D’Tigress punched their ticket to Paris following Belgium’s victory over Senegal at the ongoing 2024 Olympics qualification tournament in Belgium. Despite suffering a defeat against the powerhouse US team, with a scoreline of 100-46, Nigeria’s qualification hopes received a boost with favorable results in other group matches.

The African champions had previously showcased their prowess in their opening game, defeating Senegal with a score of 72-65.
