In a night celebrating musical excellence, Nigerian singers Tems, Davido, and Lojay stood out as winners at the prestigious 2024 NAACP Image Awards, held virtually on Monday, March 11.
Tems was honored with the Outstanding International Song award for her captivating track ‘Me & U,’ showcasing her talent and global appeal.
Davido and Lojay were recognized for their collaboration with Chris Brown on the chart-topping hit ‘Sensational,’ which clinched the award for Outstanding Duo, Group, or Collaboration (contemporary), highlighting their contribution to the international music scene.
Among the evening’s standout performers, Chris Brown and Victoria Monét emerged as the top winners, each receiving two awards.
Brown’s achievements included winning Outstanding Duo, Group, or Collaboration (contemporary) for ‘Sensational,’ featuring Davido & Lojay, and also securing the Outstanding Duo, Group, or Collaboration (traditional) award for his featured role on Ciara’s ‘How We Roll.’
Meanwhile, Monét soared to victory, claiming the titles of Outstanding Album and Outstanding New Artist for her impressive work on ‘Jaguar II,’ solidifying her status as a rising star in the music industry.
