Nigerian musician Spyro has recently opened up about his decision to adopt a celibate lifestyle, citing an internal conflict between the pleasures of premarital sex and the guilt that followed.
In a candid Instagram post, the 33-year-old artist shared his journey of reflection and prayer, which led him to sever ties with those who tempted him to stray from his new commitment. Spyro admitted that although the physical aspect of sex was enjoyable, it left him feeling uneasy and troubled afterward.
“Sex felt good till I could no longer bear struggling with my conscience,” he confessed. “Every time I ‘FORNICATED’ knowing I ain’t married to the person, I feel troubled, like a part of me gets taken right after.”
Spyro further explained the challenges of maintaining celibacy, especially during his travels where temptations arise, but he remains resolute in his decision. “It hasn’t been easy, especially when I travel and these clean girls begin to get funny around me and promoters never make it easy too, but now they know. But yea, I am keeping this bed for ONE now,” he wrote.
