Nigerian Singer Ruger Parts Ways with Jonzing World, Alleges Lack of Support and Transparency

Nigerian music sensation Michael Adebayo Olayinka, professionally known as Ruger, has parted ways with his former record label, Jonzing World, citing dissatisfaction with the level of support and transparency provided.

While acknowledging the role Jonzing World played in catapulting him into the limelight, Ruger expressed regret over the label’s failure to propel his brand to greater heights. In a candid series of posts on X, Ruger accused his former label boss, D’Prince, of neglecting him and diverting his music earnings towards scouting new talents.

In his own words, Ruger stated, “As much as I’m very appreciative of the fact that Jonzing world introduced me to the world, I just couldn’t continue with them because they got too comfortable with the money they were making from me and couldn’t push me further as I wanted to be pushed.”

The singer further lamented the lack of transparency regarding his finances, revealing, “Dey use my money Dey fund new artist, leaving me in the dark, not being transparent.”
