Nigerian gospel sensation, Mercy Chinwo, is set to host her first live concert in Lagos to commemorate this year’s Easter celebration. The concert, themed ‘Overwhelming Joy,’ has been confirmed to be free and open to the public. It is scheduled to take place on March 29, 2024, at Eko Hotels and Suites.
According to a statement by her record label, Grace and Truth Nation (GNT), Mercy Chinwo will unveil her 12-track album titled ‘Overwhelming Victory,’ which she recorded during her pregnancy.
The singer shared that her new album was inspired by Romans 8:37, emphasizing the spiritual victory believers have through Christ’s love. She expressed that the album, featuring songs like ‘Father Eh’ and ‘My Lover,’ highlights various aspects of this victory, including faithfulness, might, joy, and reassurance in the faith journey.
Mercy Chinwo stated, “Overwhelming Victory marks a new chapter in my personal and artistic journey. The creative process involved international focus, late nights, and a deeper commitment to sharing my faith journey. It’s created to uplift, inspire, and affirm the listeners’ faith, offering spiritual insight and encouragement.”
