Mathew Knowles Calls Out Racism After Beyoncé Snubbed by 2024 Country Music Awards

Mathew Knowles, the father of global pop star Beyoncé, has criticized the 2024 Country Music Awards after his daughter received no nominations, despite having a top-charting country album and song this year. The nominations were recently announced, with Beyoncé’s widely successful album *Cowboy Carter* missing from the list.

In response, Knowles accused the award organizers of racial bias. Speaking to TMZ, he said, “There’s more white people in America, and unfortunately they don’t vote based on ability and achievements. It’s still sometimes a white and black thing.”

Beyoncé’s album *Cowboy Carter* has been both the best-selling and most critically acclaimed country release of 2024, making her exclusion from the nominations a surprising and contentious issue in the music industry.
