Manchester United fought back twice to secure a draw against Bournemouth, extending their winless run in the Premier League to four games.
Captain Bruno Fernandes was the hero for United, scoring both goals to rescue a point for his side. Despite falling behind twice to goals from Dominic Solanke and Justin Kluivert, Fernandes’ brace ensured United avoided defeat.
Solanke opened the scoring for Bournemouth with a composed finish after getting the better of Willy Kambwala. Fernandes equalized for United after Alejandro Garnacho’s assist, but Kluivert restored Bournemouth’s lead before halftime.
United struggled to assert control in the game, with Fernandes’ penalties being their only shots on target. The draw sees United drop to seventh place in the Premier League standings.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, showcased their progress under manager Andoni Iraola, dominating much of the game and creating numerous scoring opportunities. However, they were unable to capitalize on their chances, ultimately settling for a draw.
The result leaves Bournemouth in 12th place in the league table, just five points away from surpassing their best Premier League season. Despite their strong performance, Bournemouth was denied a late penalty after a VAR review determined the foul occurred outside the box.
