Manchester United has emerged as the frontrunner to secure the services of Inter Milan’s right-back, Denzel Dumfries, in what could be a significant summer transfer move.
Reports from Tuttosport, via Sport Witness, suggest that Dumfries, the Netherlands international, could command a transfer fee in the region of €40 million (£34m/$43m). The uncertainty surrounding his future at the San Siro stems from Inter’s financial constraints, as they struggle to meet his demands for a new contract.
Despite the summer transfer window still being months away, Manchester United appears to be gearing up to make a bid for Dumfries in the upcoming months. While Dumfries’ departure from Inter remains uncertain, the prospect of a move to Old Trafford seems increasingly likely.
