Luke Shaw Joins England Squad Despite Injury Setback

Manchester United’s Luke Shaw has linked up with the England squad despite being sidelined due to injury. The full-back, who was omitted from the camp due to his ongoing fitness issues, has joined his national teammates ahead of their upcoming friendlies against Brazil and Belgium.

Shaw’s season has been plagued by injuries, with a setback in February forcing him to miss United’s last six matches. Despite his prolonged absence from competitive action, the defender has reunited with the England squad as they prepare for their international fixtures.

Although Shaw remains unavailable for training sessions with the team, he has traveled to St. George’s Park to continue his individual rehabilitation program. The hope is that he will recover in time to represent England at Euro 2024 this summer.

The left-back has been limited to just 15 appearances in all competitions for Manchester United this season, with his return date still uncertain. Nevertheless, Shaw’s determination to join the England squad underscores his commitment to representing his country on the international stage despite facing challenges on the domestic front.
