Leverkusen Cruise Past Dusseldorf to Set Up German Cup Final Clash with Kaiserslautern

Bayer Leverkusen secured their spot in the German Cup final with an emphatic victory over Fortuna Dusseldorf in the semi-finals.

In a commanding display, Bundesliga leaders Leverkusen took control early on with goals from Jeremie Frimpong and Amine Adil within the first 20 minutes. Florian Wirtz then extended their lead with a brace, including a penalty, to seal a comfortable win.

The result sets up a final showdown with Kaiserslautern, who secured their place with a 2-0 victory over Saarbrucken in the semi-finals.

Under the guidance of manager Xabi Alonso, Leverkusen remain undefeated this season and are in contention for three trophies. With a 13-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga and a Europa League quarter-final tie against West Ham on the horizon, Leverkusen are aiming for a historic season.
