Marinella, the 86-year-old iconic Greek songstress, collapsed during a concert at Athens’ Herod Atticus Theatre on Wednesday night. The incident occurred while she was performing her third song, causing the concert, which was set to feature Greek singer Antonis Remos, to be immediately canceled.
In a statement released by Hygeia Hospital on Thursday, it was confirmed that Marinella is being treated in the intensive care unit for “severe brain bleeding.” Marinella’s illustrious career has spanned over six decades, making her one of Greece’s most beloved performers.
