LAUTECH Introduces New Degree Programs at 16th Convocation Ceremony

During the 16th convocation ceremony of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, the acting Vice Chancellor, Prof Razaq Kalilu, announced the introduction of six new degree programs. Addressing the congregation, Prof Kalilu highlighted the university’s commitment to evolving academic offerings in alignment with its mandate and the vision of Governor Seyi Makinde, the institution’s Visitor.

The new degree programs introduced under the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences include Psychology, Mass Communication, Linguistics, Yoruba, Theatre Arts, and Political Science. Additionally, a Faculty of Law has been established to offer a degree program in law. These programs underwent Resource Verification in March, awaiting approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) before admitting students in the current academic session.

In his address, Prof Ayodeji Omole, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, urged the graduands to serve as ambassadors of knowledge, integrity, and excellence. He emphasized the importance of representing LAUTECH’s values of service and progress in their endeavors beyond graduation.
