Lampard Suggests Arteta’s Survival at Arsenal Unlikely at Chelsea

Former Chelsea coach Frank Lampard has suggested that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta would not have survived the challenging period he faced at Chelsea if he had been in charge of the Blues.

Arteta, who had no prior top-level coaching experience, took over the managerial role at Arsenal, his former club, five years ago. Despite initial difficulties, Arteta has begun to mold Arsenal into one of the top teams in England.

Lampard highlighted the demanding nature of modern football management, where managers are under immense pressure to deliver results quickly while implementing their tactical plans.

Speaking on the Unfiltered Podcast, Lampard praised Arteta’s resilience during tough times, noting that the Arsenal manager had to make compromises and face skepticism from fans and pundits alike.

Lampard remarked, “Arteta is a fantastic coach, we are seeing that now, but if he was managing at Chelsea he would not have made it through that period.”
