American pop star Lady Gaga has officially announced her engagement to French businessman Michael Polansky.
The 38-year-old singer shared the news of her engagement to the 46-year-old during a conversation with French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal at the Paris Olympics over the weekend. In a TikTok post on Sunday, July 28, Attal posted a short clip of Gaga introducing herself and Polansky, surprising fans by stating, “This is my fiancé.”
Gaga and Polansky first ignited dating rumors after being seen together at a New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas in 2019. They confirmed their relationship publicly a few months later on Instagram.
The couple experienced a brief separation in early 2023, as reported by the Daily Mail, but were back together by August of the same year. They celebrated Gaga’s 38th birthday in March with friends at Giorgio Baldi in California.
During her performance at the Paris Olympics’ opening ceremony, Gaga expressed her deep connection with France, saying that although she isn’t French, she has “always felt a very special connection with French people and singing French music.”
