Kevin De Bruyne Denies Transfer Talks Amid Summer Speculation

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has dismissed rumors of a potential move away from the Etihad this summer, confirming he did not engage in discussions with any other clubs despite speculation linking him to a Saudi Arabian transfer.

The 33-year-old Belgian, who has been a crucial part of City since joining in 2015 from Wolfsburg, was rumored to be considering his future at the club. However, De Bruyne clarified that his summer was uneventful, stating, “I’ve not been entertained by anybody or spoken to anybody.” He emphasized that his focus was solely on enjoying his break and preparing for the new season.

City manager Pep Guardiola had previously assured that De Bruyne would remain with the club, and the playmaker’s comments support that stance. With one year left on his current contract, De Bruyne anticipates future discussions with City regarding his next steps but feels no urgency to make decisions at this time.

De Bruyne, who has started all three of City’s Premier League matches this season, contributing a goal and an assist, has enjoyed significant success during his tenure at the club. His accolades include six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five EFL Cups, and one Champions League title.
