Kansas City Chiefs to Kick Off NFL 2024 Season Against Baltimore Ravens

The NFL has announced that the defending Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, will begin their title defense against the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday, 5 September. This matchup marks a rematch of January’s AFC championship game, which the Chiefs won 17-10.

Kansas City secured their third Super Bowl victory in five years after defeating the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime in February. Led by head coach Andy Reid, the Chiefs boast a formidable offense, featuring last season’s Super Bowl Most Valuable Player (MVP) Patrick Mahomes and star tight end Travis Kelce.

The Chiefs are now aiming for a historic third consecutive Super Bowl title, with high expectations riding on their talented roster.

In addition to the Chiefs-Ravens clash, the NFL announced that the opening weekend will also feature the Philadelphia Eagles facing the Green Bay Packers in Sao Paulo, Brazil, marking the league’s first game in the country.
