Title: Kaduna APC Affirms Suspension of Women Leader Who Criticized Governor
The Kaduna State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has upheld the suspension of its Women Leader, Maryam Suleiman, who criticized Governor Uba Sani over the state’s inherited debt profile.
In response to Governor Sani’s disclosure of the state’s debt profile during a Town Hall Meeting, where he lamented inheriting a substantial debt from his predecessor, Nasir El-Rufai, Suleiman expressed criticism in a viral video in Hausa.
The APC applauded Governor Sani’s transparency and inclusive governance, citing his commitment to addressing the state’s challenges and fostering progress. The party emphasized the importance of citizen engagement, as demonstrated by the diverse representation at the Town Hall meeting.
The indefinite suspension of Suleiman was affirmed by the APC, indicating a stance against dissent within the party ranks. The party’s Publicity Secretary, Salisu Wusono, reiterated the party’s support for the governor’s initiatives aimed at alleviating economic hardship and promoting development in Kaduna State.
