Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski Set for Full-Time Partnership in 2025 Season

British doubles stars Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski have confirmed they will form a full-time partnership for the 2025 tennis season. Salisbury, 32, recently ended his highly successful collaboration with American Rajeev Ram, with whom he won four Grand Slam titles.

Skupski, 34, is a former world number one and Wimbledon champion, having claimed the doubles title at the All England Club in 2023. The duo has already teamed up in events this year, including the Paris Olympics and the Madrid Open, but their full-time pairing will officially start with the 2025 season in Australia.

Salisbury’s split with 40-year-old Ram marks the end of one of the most dominant partnerships in recent doubles history. After joining forces in 2018, Salisbury and Ram achieved notable success, including winning the Australian Open in 2020 and three consecutive US Open titles from 2021 to 2023. They also claimed two ATP Finals titles and reached world number one.

Reflecting on their time together, Ram said, “Joe and I had some amazing wins, some epic matches and moments, and some gut-wrenching losses.”

While they enjoyed a strong start to the 2024 season by winning an ATP 250 event in Adelaide and reaching the final at the Montreal Masters, the duo struggled to replicate their Grand Slam success, failing to advance past the quarter-finals in any of the major tournaments.
