Popular American singer and actress Jennifer Lopez, known as J.Lo, has filed for divorce from her husband, Ben Affleck, after two years of marriage. The filing was made on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at the Los Angeles County Superior Court.
The couple, who rekindled their romance in the early 2000s, tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony in July 2022. Reports indicate that Lopez, 55, and Affleck, 52, had been living separately since April 26, 2024.
Lopez and Affleck first met in 2001 while filming the movie Gigli. Their off-screen friendship eventually developed into a highly publicized romance, making headlines during the early 2000s.
This marks Lopez’s fourth marriage and Affleck’s second. Lopez was previously married to singer Marc Anthony in 2004, while Affleck wed actress Jennifer Garner in 2005.
