The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Edo State, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, continued his campaign in Egor and Ikpoba-Okha local government areas, where he was warmly welcomed by a large crowd of supporters. Governor Godwin Obaseki, who led the campaign, urged residents to come out in large numbers on September 21 to vote for Ighodalo, assuring them that their votes would count.

Governor Obaseki emphasized that Ighodalo is the best candidate to lead the state, highlighting his commitment to the youth and his experience in governance. Obaseki stated, “This election will determine if Edo State moves forward or backward. Asue Ighodalo will continue where we will stop, especially in completing ongoing projects like road constructions and economic initiatives.”

Ighodalo outlined his plans to focus on technology, tourism, agriculture, and sports to drive Edo’s development. He promised, “We will work to improve the lives of Edo people, ensuring prosperity and growth under the PDP government.”

During the campaign, over 300 members from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Labour Party (LP), and other parties decamped to the PDP. The state chairman of the PDP, Anthony Aziegbemi, urged the people of Ikpoba-Okha to vote en masse for a PDP landslide victory.
