The management of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Plc (IBEDC) has pledged to ensure a stable power supply for customers within its franchise during the Easter celebrations.
In a statement released on Friday, the Managing Director of IBEDC, Kingsley Achife, assured customers that the company would maintain uninterrupted power supply throughout the festive period. He also affirmed that the technical team would remain on standby to address any issues that may arise promptly.
As Nigerians commemorate the Easter season, Achife extended warm greetings to Christians and emphasized the significance of Easter, highlighting its essence of love, renewal, and sacrifice. He urged citizens, especially Christians, to embody these values, fostering unity and collective prosperity.
Achife reiterated IBEDC’s commitment to providing excellent service delivery and cautioned against engaging unqualified individuals to handle electrical issues within communities. Emphasizing the importance of safety protocols and proper earthing of premises, he warned against tampering with electrical installations, citing the potential risks of electrical accidents.
Furthermore, Achife urged motorists to exercise caution on the roads, avoid driving under the influence of alcohol, and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent accidents involving electrical infrastructure.
