English actress Alexandra Louise Bastian, widely known for her role in *Hollyoaks*, has revealed her diagnosis with stage two breast cancer. The 42-year-old shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, explaining that the diagnosis came as a complete shock while she was still breastfeeding.
Bastian, who is currently undergoing chemotherapy, stated that her treatment plan will also include a single mastectomy and radiotherapy. Reflecting on her experience, she said, “It was a total shock. I have mornings when I wake up and I have forgotten. Then suddenly I remembered. I’m still trying to process it.”
Initially mistaking the symptoms for a blocked duct, Bastian sought medical attention after realizing something was wrong. “It wasn’t clearing up, and the more I felt it, the more it felt like this wasn’t just a blocked duct,” she explained. Bastian credited her GP for being supportive and immediately referring her for further examination.
