Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, demonstrated solidarity with the state chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) by participating in their peaceful protest on Tuesday. Amidst chants and placards expressing grievances over the current economic challenges, Governor Makinde assured protesters of imminent relief from the prevailing hardship.
The protest commenced from the NLC state secretariat in Agodi, Ibadan, before proceeding to Gate, NTA, and Yemetu roundabout. Governor Makinde’s presence among the protesting workers symbolized a shared commitment to addressing the socio-economic concerns affecting citizens across the state.
Expressing empathy for the difficulties faced by residents, Governor Makinde acknowledged the severity of the hardship but expressed optimism in overcoming the challenges.
