Former Lagos NURTW Chairman Denounces False Publication

Alhaji Rafiu Olohunwa, the former Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lagos State, has refuted claims made in a publication declaring him as the newly appointed chairman of the union in Lagos State.

In a statement released in Lagos on Thursday, Olohunwa vehemently denied any involvement in the misleading publication, labeling it as an attempt by mischievous individuals to disrupt the peace within the NURTW.

Olohunwa emphasized his adherence to the union’s laws, due process, and respect for the authority of the NURTW’s National President, Prof Ibikunle Tajudeen Baruwa. He categorically stated that he did not authorize, approve, or participate in the publication in question.

Asserting that the publication was a deliberate effort to incite controversy and chaos within the NURTW, Olohunwa urged the public to disregard any information not personally endorsed by him or disseminated through his official social media channels.
