Food Critic Opeyemi Famakin Accuses Cubana Chiefpriest of Life Threat Following Restaurant Review

Popular food critic Opeyemi Famakin has publicly accused entertainment mogul Cubana Chiefpriest of threatening his life after posting a critical review of Chiefpriest’s restaurant in Imo State. Famakin had shared his experience at the restaurant on September 11, 2024, praising its ambiance but criticizing the quality of the pastries, noting they should not have been “pre-made and microwaved.”

Initially, Cubana Chiefpriest responded politely in the comment section, thanking Famakin for his visit, stating, “Thank you for visiting, Foodie. Wishing you all the best!” However, things escalated on September 12 when Famakin posted screenshots of private messages between them, where Chiefpriest’s tone changed.

In the messages, Chiefpriest wrote, “Karma is real, you must pay for whatever you sow in life. I don’t fight lowlifes, I leave them to karma. The business you did your wicked review for is owned by a 6-year-old.” Famakin, interpreting this as a threat, took to Instagram to alert the public, saying, “I know a threat when I see one. I guess it’s time to leave Imo State ASAP. If anything happens to me while I am here, well, you know who to hold.”

The incident has sparked concern online, with many calling for caution amidst the ongoing tension.
