Tragedy struck along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Tuesday as one person lost their life, and five others sustained injuries in a lone accident. Florence Okpe, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), confirmed the incident, highlighting that 23 individuals, all male, were involved in the accident near the Fidiwo axis of the expressway.
Okpe attributed the cause of the accident to a combination of tyre burst and speeding, emphasizing the importance of exercising caution while driving on the expressway to prevent such tragedies. She urged motorists to prioritize safety and adhere to speed limits to avoid unnecessary loss of lives.
