Barcelona has announced that England defender Lucy Bronze will depart the club when her contract ends on June 30. The 32-year-old, who joined Barcelona in 2022, made 70 appearances for the Catalan team, scoring five goals.
During her two-year tenure in Spain, Bronze secured seven trophies, including two Champions League titles. She joined Barcelona after her second stint with Women’s Super League side Manchester City.
Bronze previously left City in 2017 to join Lyon, where she achieved three consecutive Champions League titles before returning to City in 2020. The defender, capped 123 times by England, celebrated a significant victory in Euro 2022 when England triumphed over Germany at Wembley.
