Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, the Senate Leader, has declared that the Ekiti State Caucus in the National Assembly will back Governor Biodun Oyebanji for a second term. Speaking during an inspection of constituency projects in Ekiti Central Senatorial District, Bamidele cited Oyebanji’s excellent performance and leadership as the reasons for their support.
“We have a governor today who will sit down with us and say this is what our people need,” Bamidele stated, emphasizing the collaborative efforts between the governor and the National Assembly members in executing development projects.
Bamidele reassured the public that the constituency projects, including market development, solar power, roads, and hospitals, will be replicated across all six local government areas in the district.
Governor Oyebanji praised the commitment of the Senate Leader and his colleagues to the development of Ekiti State. He highlighted the significance of electing representatives with proven integrity and capacity.
The next governorship election in Ekiti State is scheduled for 2026, where Oyebanji is expected to seek re-election.
