The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended 44 individuals suspected of internet fraud in Enugu and Anambra states. The arrests took place on September 28 and 29, 2024, following actionable intelligence linking the suspects to various online criminal activities.
In a statement released on their X page, the EFCC confirmed that the arrests occurred during early morning operations over the weekend. The statement detailed that the suspects were apprehended at multiple locations across both states.
