Eedris Abdulkareem Claims 50 Cent’s Crew ‘Flogged and Chased’ Nigerian Artists from Concert Backstage

Controversial Nigerian singer, Eedris Abdulkareem, has stirred up past controversies by alleging that American rapper 50 Cent and his crew forcibly removed Nigerian artists, including the popular duo P-Square, from backstage during a concert organized by Nigerian Breweries in 2004.

Abdulkareem recounted the incident during the latest episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, revealing that the confrontation occurred on the first day of the concert at Lagos’ Tafawa Balewa Square.

According to Abdulkareem, when 50 Cent’s security team approached him to vacate the backstage area, he defiantly refused to comply. He described the tense situation, stating, “I just dey boil for where I dey. I was waiting for them to come and chase me.”

The singer claimed that intervention from one of the event organizers prevented a physical altercation between him and the American entourage. He asserted, “They went to report me to one of the organisers and he told them to leave me alone.”

Abdulkareem further alleged that Charly Boy, a prominent Nigerian entertainer, betrayed him by accepting a bribe from Nigerian Breweries to suppress evidence of 50 Cent’s crew mistreating him during the “plane saga,” referring to another contentious incident. He accused Charly Boy of using recorded evidence to negotiate with Nigerian Breweries, ultimately leading to his ostracization from the industry.

“Dj Tee recorded everything that happened between me and 50 Cent’s crew on the plane but Charly Boy took the tape and used it to negotiate with Nigerian Breweries. The bastard blacklisted me,” Abdulkareem asserted.
