Edo State Government Receives APC Transition Committee Members

Mr. Chris Nehikhare, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation in Edo, announced on Thursday that the state government has received the names of the All Progressives Congress (APC) transition committee members. During a press conference in Benin, Nehikhare revealed that an inaugural meeting has been scheduled for Friday, October 18.

The 24-member transition committee representing the Edo government is led by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Joseph Eboigbe, while the APC’s 24-member committee is headed by Mr. Pius Odubu.

“We have received the names of the APC Transition Committee members and are pleased to announce that the inaugural meeting is scheduled for Friday at the John Odigie Oyegun Public Service Academy,” Nehikhare said.

He emphasized that the main goal of the transition committee is to ensure a smooth handover of government, expressing confidence in the collaborative efforts of all members to achieve a seamless transition.
