Diddy Indicted on Sex Trafficking and Racketeering Charges Following Federal Arrest

Sean “Diddy” Combs, the renowned rapper and media mogul, has been indicted on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering after months of escalating legal battles. The federal indictment, unsealed on Tuesday, came just hours after Homeland Security agents arrested the 54-year-old at the Park Hyatt New York hotel.

The charges stem from multiple allegations, including those from his former girlfriend Cassie Ventura, who, in November 2023, filed a lawsuit accusing Diddy of rape, abuse, and human trafficking during their decade-long relationship. The lawsuit, which described Combs as a “serial domestic abuser,” detailed incidents of physical assault, leaving Ventura with severe injuries. Although the case was settled out of court a day after filing, Diddy denied the allegations, calling them “offensive and outrageous,” and accusing Ventura of extortion.

Adding to the accusations, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, a former producer, filed a separate lawsuit alleging that Diddy sexually harassed, drugged, and threatened him. The indictment also follows a $100 million default judgment awarded to an inmate in Michigan who sued Diddy for sexual assault in 2024.

The rapper’s legal troubles have only intensified, with public backlash sparked by a resurfaced 2016 video showing him physically assaulting Cassie. Though Diddy later apologized, calling his actions “inexcusable,” the incident fueled further scrutiny.

In March 2024, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security raided properties linked to Diddy as part of their investigation. His recent arrest and indictment represent a significant escalation in a case that has captivated public attention. Diddy, who has consistently denied the accusations, has yet to issue a statement following the latest developments.
