Nigerian music sensation and Grammy-nominated artist, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has expressed his unwavering determination to persevere despite missing out on the prestigious music award.
The 66th Grammy Awards saw Davido and other Nigerian nominees overlooked, with the Best African Music Performance category going to Tyla, the sole non-Nigerian nominee. Additionally, Davido failed to secure wins in the Best Global Music Album and Best Global Music Performance categories.
This outcome sparked disappointment among Davido’s fans, many of whom expressed frustration and accused the Grammy organizers of bias.
However, Davido took to his X handle to address his fans directly, reaffirming his appreciation for their support and assuring them of his resilience. In his message, he conveyed his love for his fans and emphasized his commitment to continue delivering top-notch music.
“I just want you to feel alright. I love each and every one of you! We are in the game!! We will continue to deliver,” he wrote.
