Nigerian music sensation Davido, in a recent podcast interview with Sway’s Universe, revealed his intentions for future American collaborations, highlighting his desire to work with global icon Rihanna.
The award-winning artist, known for his chart-topping hits and groundbreaking collaborations, expressed his admiration for Rihanna after she declared his song “Unavailable” as her favorite. Davido emphasized that, aside from Chris Brown, Rihanna is the only American artist he is eager to collaborate with.
He stated, “Aside Chris Brown, I’m not going to disturb myself for any other American collaboration. Rihanna said ‘Unavailable’ is her best song, so I’m waiting to work with her.”
Davido’s optimism for a Rihanna collaboration comes on the heels of the success of his previous joint effort with Chris Brown, “Blow My Mind.” The track, hailed as one of the best Afrobeats and American artist collaborations, has garnered widespread acclaim since its release. Davido boldly proclaimed that “Blow My Mind” stands alongside Drake and Wizkid’s “One Dance” as one of the most impactful cross-genre collaborations.
