Nigerian artiste Davido, also known as David Adeleke, has extended heartfelt congratulations to South African female rapper Tyla for her victory in the inaugural Best African Music Performance category at the 66th Grammy Awards ceremony.
Tyla’s song, ‘Water,’ triumphed over tough competition, including ‘Amapiano’ by Asake and Olamide, ‘City Boys’ by Burna Boy, ‘Unavailable’ by Davido featuring Musa Keys, and ‘Rush’ by Ayra Starr. Despite Davido missing out on all three nominations, he took to his social media handle early Monday to express his joy and congratulate Tyla.
