Nigerian music icon Davido, also known as David Adeleke, has made waves in the industry once again, this time with the announcement of his partnership with UnitedMasters to unveil his new record label, Nine+ Records.
Under the terms of the agreement, Davido will take the helm in artist development and A&R for a roster of Nigerian talents. This strategic move sees the dissolution of his former label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW).
In a social media post on Saturday, Davido clarified that all artists currently under the DMW umbrella will transition to Nine+. He affirmed, “All DMW artists would be moved to Nine+ records… Clearing the air!”
Among the artists making the shift are familiar names such as Dremo, Yonda, Peruzzi, Idowest, DJ Ecool, Danagog, B-Red, Deekay, May D, Deinde, Ayanfe, Liya, Morravey, SayTheyCallMESG, and Logos Olori.
