Davido Agrees to Settle Breach of Contract Suit Out of Court

 

Renowned Nigerian musician David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has opted to resolve the breach of contract lawsuit brought against him by Brownhill Investment Company Limited, led by the former President of the Nigerian Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, outside the courtroom.

In a significant development, Davido has agreed to settle the dispute out of court, as per the terms of a consent judgment entered at the High Court of Delta State, Effurun. As part of this resolution, Davido has committed to paying N30 million to the claimant within seven days, serving as a partial contribution towards the claimant’s outstanding legal fees.

The lawsuit, initiated by the claimant through his legal representative, Kelechi Onwuegbuchulem, sought N2 billion in general damages from Davido. Additionally, the claimant requested N150 million for legal and professional fees, along with an extra N30 million to cover the cost of filing the suit. Davido, along with his music label, Davido Music Worldwide Limited, were named as defendants in the suit.
