Darkoo Reveals Football, Not Music, Was Her First Love

British-Nigerian rapper and singer Oluwafisayo Isa, popularly known as Darkoo, has revealed that her initial passion was football, not music. The ‘Favourite Girl’ hitmaker opened up during a recent podcast interview, sharing that she once aspired to be a professional footballer before switching to a music career.

Darkoo explained that a pivotal moment led to her change in direction. “Music was never the plan. I wanted to be a footballer,” she said. However, her football dreams came to a halt after she fainted during a game. “The last time I played football I fainted because it was a lot of exercise,” she added.

Since leaving football behind, Darkoo has found success in the music industry, but her love for the sport remains a lesser-known chapter of her life.
