Popular Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has been released from police custody, following a six-day detention initiated by fellow artist Davido over alleged defamation. Dammy Krane was freed on Thursday, August 29, 2024.
The singer’s release comes after a series of posts on his X handle where he claimed that Davido had orchestrated his illegal arrest. The news of his release was made public by popular social media critic, Verydarkman, known as VDM.
In a video now trending on Instagram, Dammy Krane issued an apology to Davido for the allegations. VDM captioned the video, saying, “Dammykrane is out, dear @davido as you have honoured me by listening to my plea in less than 4hrs God will honour you. I believe God is giving him a second chance, and I hope he focuses on his music moving on.”
