Nigerian entrepreneur, Cubana Chief Priest, made his appearance today at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos State, as proceedings resumed in his naira abuse trial.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had lodged a three-count charge against him on April 16, alleging naira abuse. Following his arraignment the next day at the Federal High Court in Lagos, Cubana Chief Priest pleaded not guilty to the charges when they were read during the court session.
Presiding over the proceedings, Judge Kehinde Ogundare granted him bail in the sum of N10 million, requiring two responsible sureties in like sum. The judge stipulated that the bail conditions must be fulfilled within seven days.
