Condolences Pour In as Ondo APC Mourns Loss of Dr. Paul Akintelure

The passing of Dr. Paul Akintelure, a governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, has elicited reactions of sorrow and mourning from political figures and aspirants within the state.

Ondo State Governor, Mr. Lucky Aiywdatiwa, expressed shock and devastation at the news of Akintelure’s demise, which occurred on Tuesday in Lagos after a brief illness. While details surrounding his death remain undisclosed, Governor Aiyedatiwa extended heartfelt sympathies to the Akintelure family and the people of Okitipupa Local Government Area.

Describing Akintelure as a “wonderful human being” and a committed progressive, Governor Aiyedatiwa praised his consistency and loyalty to the principles of progressive politics in the state and Nigeria. He lauded Akintelure’s conduct in both private and public spheres, hailing him as a gentleman whose loss will be deeply felt.

In a show of respect and mourning, several APC aspirants, including Mr. Wale Akinterinwa and Chief Olusola Oke, have suspended their political activities to honor the memory of the late chieftain. Akinterinwa, whose campaign activities were slated to commence with a praise worship ceremony, announced the suspension of all political engagements in light of Akintelure’s passing. He expressed sorrow over the loss of a friend and comrade, offering prayers for the deceased’s family and the APC in Ondo State.

Similarly, Chief Olusola Oke conveyed his condolences, describing Akintelure’s death as a “rude shock” and lamenting the loss of a remarkable individual. Oke highlighted Akintelure’s contribution to politics, emphasizing his dignified and respectful approach to public service. In solidarity with the grieving community, Oke announced the postponement of his political campaign activities as a mark of respect for the departed APC stalwart.
